You mean we're really here!  At the ZOO!  That place you always read to me about!

Leah thought this lady was really cool!  She kept saying "Snake on neck!"  And then the lady came around and we all got to pat the snake!  After the snake we got to learn about a screech owl and got to pat it too!  Leah is very much a hands on kind of gal!

Thanks for a very fun day Meme!

Today the Martin Family took their second annual day trip.  Last year we went to King's Dominion.  Today we went to Mill Mountain Zoo and Chuck E Cheese.  (Yeah I know I was kinda like Chuck E Cheese, really??? but it was a blast playing games with the girls!)  The zoo is really neat.  It's very small but it had a couple large animals to see and it's especially nice because all of these animals are unable to return to the wild so none have been 'removed'.  Leah sat thru the information session on a snake named Lucky and a screech own named Red and got to touch both of them.  The little girl doesn't fear an animal unless it's a house cat!  While the snake was out he coiled around it's handlers neck and she LOVED that.  I'm about to go ewww and Leah kept saying 'snake on neck mama'!  She loved that snake and when she got to pat it the handler let her have a few extra seconds with it.  Of course I'm about to crawl out of my skin but little girl took every second of it she could have!
